The ten-week 2024 season runs from Monday, June 10th through Friday, August 16th. The camp day begins at 8:45 a.m. and ends 3:15 p.m. Registration can be for one week or several or the full season. The weeks of attendance do not have to be consecutive.
We understand the needs of working parents so we also offer extended day care at two locations for an additional fee.
Camp will be closed on Thursday, July 4th for the holiday - tuition is not pro-rated for that week.
Camp lunch can be purchased by the week only. Even after you register, you can still add this option. Many children bring their lunch from home, but either way, we provide a drink and dessert. We like to be advised of any dietary allergies, but we do not have a special menu to offer, so packing a lunch is necessary in those cases. NUT FREE CAMPUS!
We have two half day sports/specialty camps and you can add a half day of day camp if you want to keep your child on campus for the full day; as well as adding extended care and lunch. We also offer adding a half day of camp to any child attending Sanford School's Summer Enrichment program (proof of registration at the school is required to qualify).
Once you register through our online system, you can access your account anytime. Through this system we keep in touch with email reminders such as what to bring for camp, or to announce field trips.
Please review the tuition schedule and its terms and conditions prior to starting the registration because you cannot save your data until you actually checkout with payment. Be prepared with all pertinent information prior to starting online registration. Sanford Camps will not accept any walk-in registrations and your child will not be able to attend the first day of camp if all paperwork is not in our nurse's possession at least a week prior to that first day.
Sanford’s Adventure Camp is designed for pre-teens and early teens going into the 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. Your middle schooler will automatically be put into this group if they are the proper age and grade, so you don’t have to request this designation. It is a coed group that enjoys additional privileges due to their age and maturity. The counselors are usually middle school or high school teachers. This group does not have to attend morning line-up, has a special activity room separate from the other campers, has their own space for lunch and takes additional field trips and activities which are designed for older campers. So, if your child feels that he or she is “too old” for day camp, hopefully they will give the adventure camp a try.
Our CIT (counselor in training) program is designed for high school students who are not old enough or ready to apply for a regular summer job. Each CIT will be placed with a counselor and function as a counselor’s helper. They will learn responsibility and how to work with children, with their counselor as a mentor. There is no tuition charge for this program and the CITs do not receive a salary. Instead, a small cash stipend is given at the end of the week. Students can sign up for as many weeks as they like but are expected to attend the entire week (Monday-Friday). Applications are online and positions are granted on a “as needed” basis. Any questions, please contact the director.

We increase students’ self-awareness, self esteem and self regulation skills by teaching students how to strengthen and direct their brains in the ways that will benefit them the most. A well trained brain allows us to manage emotions, time and relationships.
The younger campers will go on interactive, yoga adventures which build strength, balance and confidence. These fun yoga sequences increase children’s body awareness and mindfulness, and enhance children’s concentration and memory. Increased focus and memorization skills will translate over into their academic performance.
Each day the older campers will have a short themed lesson, followed by a guided meditation, yoga session, and group activities. The students will learn how their brain works and what they can do to manage the volatility of their constantly changing world. They will finish the week with a tool box filled with the skills and strategies needed for a successful start to the new school year.
